World Cup Favourites 2018
It may be too early to start calling out the favourites of the tournament that is years away. We need to see how the Euro 2016 proceeds to give us an idea of which teams are trending up and down. So far teams like Germany and Spain will be given the most credit and respect. Teams like Brazil and Netherlands are going to have a tough time earning it back as Brazil were embarrassed on home soil in World Cup 2014 while Netherlands are basically out of the Euro 2016 without even qualifying and feature a team of aging stars with no strong young players to replace them.
England are always one of those teams fans will bet on even if they have a good team or not. Wales could be the surprise team of the tournament having qualified for the Euro 2016 and looking amazing with Gareth Bale carrying the team on his back.
First we got to see who makes the tournament and right now it’s looking like Wales could be the team to be watching. Chile are an up and coming team and world the Copa America in 2015 so expect their team to gain more confidence and get even better in time for 2018.
There are a lot of good teams that maybe might not win the tournament but are capable of knocking out a favourite. Teams to look out for will be Russia, Italy, France, Sweden and Portugal.
